Shelby is the hero who saves Clark this fourth dimension, by making him realize that all this was non real and that he was really still in the Kent befouled. Also, throughout the entire delusion sequence, a abiding, monotonous drone accompanies the soundtrack, which is perhaps meant to signify the Martian Manhunter's try to remove the phantom from Clark's mind using the crystal.
  • Clark wears a hat for a tertiary fourth dimension in the series this episode. The first was in Thirst and the second was in Lexmas.
